Today Florida born rapper Kodak Black's court hearing was held today. In a series of fortunate events, he has been granted house arrest and and probation. He has one year of house arrest, and five years of probation. That may sound harsh, but he will luckily avoid any jail time. Kodak pleaded to a No Contest which turned out to be beneficial for him and his team.
It has not yet been determined if his Atlantic Records team will be able to win some wiggle room, which would allow him to tour and stay engaged with his music career. "He’s only at the very beginning of a very promising career," said Michael Kushner, exec VP of legal at Atlantic Records. The Judge reminded Kodak Black that if makes a mistake again, he's looking at 55 years in prison. "What happens from here on out is up to you. says Judge Lisa Porter.
For now, lets be happy for Kodak, his friends, and his family. This is definitely good news for all Kodak Black fans, given that he is still in the early stages of his career.
